Egg-Citing Fun This Easter Across Devon!

At Clovelly from 29 March to 1 April children will receive a village map on entry.  This is to mark the location of a number of Easter chicks perched up and down the cobbled High Street to the quay.  If they spot at least 10 chicks, they can return the map to the Visitor Centre reception to win a prize.

Come along to Quince Honey Farm this Easter and enjoy fun for all the family, including an Easter Egg Trail (on selected dates), honey tasting, seed planting, indoor and outdoor play plus the return of their Beekeeping Demos! The Easter activity programme runs daily from 10:30am until 4:30pm and you can quite easily spend the whole day exploring the site.

There’s Easter Fun on the Farm at The Big Sheep in Bideford. Feed the lambs, meet the animals, ride the Rampage Roller Coaster and the Twister, meet the Easter Bunny and follow the Easter egg trail with prizes to be won.

What’s On in Exeter & East Devon

At RAMM you can have some fun with paper weaving and print on 3 & 10 April. Make your own woven paper artwork from hand-printed papers, collage your own designs based on pictures from the ‘Pressing images’ printmaking exhibition. There’s Comic Strip Capers on 4 & 11 April. Come along and design your own single-page comic strip, then print it on their very own hand-turned printing press. On 9 April using a magical combination of rubber bands and tissue tubes, make your own printing roller and see what amazing patterns you can create. Check website for details.

Head to  Crealy Theme Park for a pirate adventure across the Theme Park with their ‘Eggs Marks The Spot – Pirate Themed Easter Egg Hunt’ (Egg hunt on daily between 29 March – 14 April).​Get ready to sink your teeth into this quest as you will be tasked with co-ordinates to reveal the locations of the hidden eggs, using your very own treasure map to win an egg-ceptional chocolate prize. Also, during the Easter holidays, they will be opening your favourite rides.

Join Seaton Tramway on the Easter weekend for their FREE Easter EGG-TRAM-AGANZA! Children 15 and under can pick up a FREE activity sheet from 29 March to 1 April. Find Gilbert the Station Master’s Goose and its Cheeky Chicks and complete the sheet to win an Easter treat. Plus, on 10 April the Pirate Tram ‘the Seaton Pearl’ sets sail again. Ahoy, me Hearties, this year ye old “Seaton Pearl” sets sail on her voyage following the Axe Estuary, where they’ll be off to find some “booty” at Colyton Station.

At The Donkey Sanctuary spring is in full bloom with the arrival of Easter. As you stroll through the gardens, you might stumble upon a hidden Easter Egg from 19 March to 12 April. Complete the trail to get a prize. Plus, with a new bat beacon interactive exhibition, natural play area, talks, scenic walks, engaging displays, award-winning gardens and, of course, hundreds of adorable donkeys to meet, there’s so much to explore. Friendly dogs on leads are welcome too!

Don’t forget to collect your chocolate egg at the end! Pick up a dog friendly trail sheet from Visitor Reception and follow the egg way markers in Front Park. Easter Adventures at Killerton will run from 23 March to 9 April at £3 per trail. Booking not required.

What’s On in Torbay & South Devon

At Kents Cavern from 29 March to 14 April all tours during the holidays include Easter Egglow! What’s that glowing in the cave? Is it a torch? Is it a lantern? No, it’s an Egg! But how many can you find hiding? As one of the fantastic guides leads you through the cave see how many glowing eggs you can find and you might just earn yourself a seasonal treat!

At Babbacombe Model Village can you crack the Easter Egg Trail from 23 March to 13 April? Hop on over to try to find all of the colourful eggs hidden in and around the gardens. All successful young explorers will enjoy a small gift! The 9-hole crazy golf course will add an exciting extra dimension of fun for the whole family. Experience the UK premiere of a major new multi-screen film commission by visionary artist and filmmaker John Akomfrah at The Box. With beautiful visuals of landscapes from across the globe, Arcadia reflects on ‘The Columbian Exchange’, the widespread transfer of plants, animals, precious metals, commodities, populations, technology, diseases and ideas between the Americas, Afro-Eurasia and Europe from the 1400s onwards. It runs until 2 June and is approx. 50 minutes.
