We know that virtually all our dog-owning guests already follow these naturally, but we appreciate you taking a moment to review them.

Exploring the Grounds and Beach

You are more than welcome to exercise your dog within the hotel’s expansive 19-acre grounds. We simply ask that you clean up after them and place any waste securely in a bag in one of our outdoor bins. As a premier dog-friendly hotel in Dawlish Warren, we are perfectly positioned for beach walks. Enjoy the fresh sea air and the beautiful coastline right on our doorstep.

After a long walk, your dog might be thirsty! There is a mains water tap just outside the main entrance for your convenience. If you need a water bowl, we keep a few at the bar—just ask, and please return it after use.

Around the Hotel

We love seeing your dogs around the hotel, and they are very welcome in the Lounge and the Poolside Room. However, for the comfort of all guests, we cannot allow dogs in the Restaurants, Swimming Pool Areas, Children’s Play Areas, or the Tennis Court. Furthermore, dogs are not permitted in the Lincoln Bar Lounge during busy meal service times (7:30 am – 10:00 am and 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm), with the exception of assistance dogs. If you have an assistance dog, please let Reception know, ideally before you arrive.

Breakfast is normally served in the Lincoln Restaurant. If you prefer not to leave your dog in your room or car, you are welcome to eat in the Lounge, which operates as a self-service facility for breakfast. Simply pop into the Restaurant to let the team know, and they will provide you with a tray of cutlery and condiments. Alternatively, Room Service is available for a tray charge of £5.00—just contact Reception to arrange this.

We kindly ask that you do not allow your dog to sit on the hotel furniture, even if you have brought your own rug or blanket, as this is not always appreciated by other guests. Additionally, please refrain from feeding your dog in the public rooms. You are welcome to feed them in the grounds or on the Verandah, but please remain considerate of others.

In Your Room

Dogs are welcome in all our bedrooms! There is currently a charge of £15.00 per dog, per day. This covers the extra cleaning required upon your departure, though please note that dog food is not included.

For the peace of mind of everyone staying with us, please do not leave your dog alone in the room if they are likely to bark and disturb other guests. If you do leave your dog in the room, please place the “Do Not Disturb” sign on your door. Our Housekeeping team cannot service a room when an unaccompanied dog is present. Once the room is vacant, just notify Reception between 9:00 am and 2:30 pm, and we will arrange for your room to be serviced.

In the unlikely event that your dog causes any damage to the hotel’s fabric, fittings, or surroundings, any costs incurred to correct the damage will be billed to your room.

General Guidelines

To maintain a safe and welcoming environment, dogs must remain under their owner’s control at all times. For the comfort and safety of everyone, we are unable to accept aggressive or incontinent dogs at our hotel.
