Meet the dedicated team of Langstone Cliff Hotel

The Langstone Cliff Hotel has been run by the Rogers family for almost 80 years and with all the staff, together we are just short of one hundred!

 Sadly, in May 2025 we had the very sad loss of Geoff, who has been part of the hotel for almost his whole life, he arrived here in 1946 at the age of 6, with his parents. However, as he always told us, ‘The show must go on’ and with this in mind, we warmly welcome you to continue to create memories with us.

Gerry, Geoff’s wife, has taken a step back but worry not she still checks in daily to lend a hand.

Their eldest son, Mark, one of the directors, runs the hotel along with his sister Louise, our General Manager.  Their brother Simon heads up our Maintenance team and is the one to chat to if you have any questions regarding golf, Vicky, the middle sister is part of our busy Bar team and Suzy, the youngest of the five, is our Accounts Manager and your go to for dog friendly walks.

On to the third generation, Kerri, daughter of Louise and Gary (one of our chef’s) is a Senior Receptionist and ready with recommendations for days out with young children and her younger sister Lauren has recently been promoted to our Restaurant Manager and is our resident make up artist.

Still on Generation Three – the junior division – Olivia, daughter of Vicky and Andy and William, son of Suzy & Jem are both members of the Restaurant team. Suzy & Jem’s youngest son Nathaniel (Nate) is at grammar school but can often be seen around the hotel and knows almost as much as our reception team regarding the facilities and local area.

As you can see – we really are a “Family Hotel”!

 

Heads of Departments

Director – Mark Rogers

Mentioned above, Mark is the best point of contact for any technical questions.

 

General Manager – Louise Attwood

Mentioned above, Louise has worked in almost all departments at some point, taking a break for 6 years to move to Cheltenham with Gary.  Now our general manager, Louise also deals with all private events

 

Payroll/Accounts Manager – Suzy Squires

Mentioned above, Suzy started working at age 15 in the kitchen and worked her way through almost all departments in the hotel. She left the hotel for just over a year to gain experience working at Natwest bank and the golf club and has now been our accounts manager for 20+ years.

 

Maintenance Manager – Simon

Mentioned above, Simon can turn his hand to most aspects of maintenance and leads a team of 3.

 

Head Receptionist – Sarah Goldworthy

With 20+ years of experience Sarah leads a team of 6 who can assist you with any reservation queries or general hotel information.

Senior Receptionists – Charlotte Wintle & Kerri Murdoch

 

Head Chef – Gary Herridge

Gary has been with us for almost 40 years and along with his team has plenty of experience catering for all occasions from small lunches to weddings for 150.

2nd Chef – Rob Kingdon

 

Restaurant Manageress – Lauren Greening

With over 15 years’ experience as part of our restaurant team, Lauren now leads the team of approximately 15 along with Karen and Zoe

Assistant Restaurant Managers – Karen Tillyer, Zoe Welsh

 

Bar Manager – Paul Winter

Paul is the newest member of our team and is settling in well.

 

Head of Housekeeping – Charlotte O’Brien

With over 10 years experience, Charlotte, together with Tina lead our Housekeeping team, and we think they do a brilliant job.

Assistant Head of Housekeeping – Tina Mitchell
