Searching for hotels in Devon with entertainment? We offer the best variety!
Our Hotel Entertainment includes Bands, Comedians, Variety Shows And Much More
There’s plenty going on at Langstone Cliff. During the school holidays we offer a variety of entertainment for all ages; we put on children’s entertainers most evenings and on selected weekends there live music, dancing or the hotel’s renowned regular Disco.
The Washington Ballroom is one of Devon’s premier venues for Dinner, Dance and Cabaret evenings, and a full and varied programme is presented throughout the year. Please see our Facebook page for the latest lineup.
Variety shows ….
There has certainly been a wide selection of variety shows put on by the hotel over the years – each seemingly more popular than the last! Showcasing many new but especially strong acts, these events are justifiably becoming increasingly popular and have featured regularly. One of the more popular shows we have presented has been That’ll Be The Day which is a superb package which normally only appears in theatres, making it a real exclusive!
You can’t beat a good tribute band. We present a whole range of acts including the absolutely superb East Coast Boys with “Big Girls Don’t Cry” – a superb Franki Valli and the Four Seasons tribute show. Phil Fyers’s rendition of the hits of Frank Sinatra just has to be seen and heard, as well as the superb Magic – “A Kind of Queen” and “Let’s Move It” – Jimmy Jemain (Cliff Richard). There is plenty more to come so watch this space!
Fans will know the Sid Lawrence Orchestra, Todd Miller and the Joe Loss Orchestra, Andy Ross and the Pasadena Roof Orchestra so they need no introduction. For guests that have not experienced them before, you won’t want to miss out!
Lenny Henry, Frank Carson, Jimmy Cricket, and even Jethro have all appeared at the Langstone Cliff Hotel. If you’re looking for a laugh and want to share jokes in great company you’re in the right place. We are one of the only hotels in South Devon with entertainment that can book such big names!
Kenny Ball, Acker Bilk, Chris Barber and George Melly – all peers of the British Jazz scene and have graciously appeared at the Langstone Cliff Hotel many times over the years.
We have not quite managed the Beatles or the Stones but most other sixties bands have entertained us – Gerry and the Pacemakers, the Searchers, The Tremeloes, the Dooleys, and The Fortunes to name but a few.
