The Langstone Cliff Hotel has been approved by Devon County Council as "a suitable location for the solemnization of civil marriage ceremonies".
A total of five rooms have been registered to enable us to offer the size of room best suited for the occasion.
The Six rooms are:
- Washington Ballroom
- Lincoln Restaurant
- Orchid Room
- Verandah Room
- Lounge
- Drawing Room
The ceremony will be conducted and organised by the Superintendant Registrar who will be accompanied by a Registrar of Marriage who completes the official Register and provides the all important Marriage Certificate.
The ceremony is simple but very pleasing and the convenience for all concerned of having the ceremony, reception and accommodation all in the same building has to be experienced to be fully appreciated. Transport considerations are reduced to nothing and even the impact the weather may have becomes quite minimal.
Before any marriage can take place certain legal formalities need to be dealt with. Your local Superintendant Registrar will be able to advise you on the correct procedure.
It is not necessary for either of the intending partners to be resident in the district.
