There are several clubs in the immediate area the closest
being the Marina Bowling Club located just a just a mile
from the Langstone Cliff Hotel, Half a Mile further on is
Dawlish Bowling located on the lawns right in the centre
of Dawlish. Teignmouth also has its own Bowls club as does
Shaldon.
Kingsteignton just this side of Newton Abbot is the location
of Teignbridge's world class Indoor bowling facility where
the British Championships were held in 1996 . The Langstone
Cliff Hotel hosted the Scottish national team who went on
to win the championship.

The Langstone Cliff Hotel nestles in 19 acres of woodland
overlooking the sea at Dawlish, South Devon, 5 miles from
Teignmouth and Shaldon, a 20 minute drive from Exeter or
Newton Abbot, 25 minutes from Torquay. The M5 can be reached
in 20 minutes from the hotel then Bristol is around an hour
from there. Plymouth is around an hours drive from the hotel.

Several times a year the Washington Ballroom at the Langstone
Cliff Hotel is converted for use as an indoor Short Mat

| The
Langstone Cliff Hotel has been owned and managed
by the Rogers Family since 1946 these pages
are adapted from a small brochure written by
Geoffrey Rogers the senior partner at the hotel
and which was published in 1997 as part of the
50th Year of trading celebrations.

Langstone Cliff Hotel has a wide range
of leisure facilities for guests to enjoy
whilst at the hotel. There are also many
activities within easy reach of the hotel.
The glorious sandy beach at Dawlish Warren
with it's world famous wildlife reserve
is only a short walk from the hotel grounds.
Starcross Yacht Club and Starcross Fishing
and Cruising club are just a couple of
miles down the road.
