The Langstone Cliff Hotel has invested heavily in it's
communications infrastructure over the last few years
and to this end has an LG LDK300 digital telephone exchange
with eight channels of Primary rate ISDN available and
1 analogue telephone line. This equipment enables us to
provide a variety of communications solutions for conference
and meeting organisers as well as the connected businessman
travelling in the southwest.
The Langstone Cliff Hotel now has (Sept
2005) a 4mb/s Broadband connection and this can be made
available in all the hotels conference rooms and is also
available via the hotels FREESPOT Wi-Fi system.
All of the hotel bedrooms have BT style
telephone points located within them which are suitable
for modem connection to anywhere at up to 56k with a suitable
modem.
The hotel has FREESPOT Wi-Fi access points,
enabling wireless connection to the internet via the hotels
broadband connection, located in the main reception area,
lounges, conference rooms, and Washington Suite. This facilitity
is available free of charge to hotel residents and day delegates.
8 of the hotels 10 ground floor rooms
have 2 telephone points enabling the simultaneous use of
any 2 telephone products (fax, telephone, modem). The Washington
Ballroom has 4 individual telephone Points.

Digital telephone points can only be used for voice communications.

may be used to provide access to the hotel's ISDN lines
or the hotels broadband connection.

The hotel switchboard
distributes the primary rate ISDN channels as ISDN 2e
channels for use with customers own TA's (terminal adaptors),
Internet routers or video conferencing equipment.
